  EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Professional Recertification Marketing, inc (PRMi) was formed to provide online Continuing Education for Mortgage Loan Officers to meet their certification requirements prior to Broker and Lender license renewal in Maryland.

This particular e-commerce directed marketing company produces one product - access to on-line purchase of downloadable continuing education, "programmed instruction", over the Internet by pointing customers to those sites offering its course work for profession licenses through a mix of traditional advertising and new media.

A need existed for I-Training packages to raise the bar on credentials in the mortgage lending industry. In 2001, Maryland implemented a requirement for covered employees of Mortgage Lenders and Brokers to complete 20 hours of continuing education prior to bi-annual license renewal.

This market represents close to 33,000 applicants in Maryland alone. Seven other states have a similar requirement and 35 states are looking into it through the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators. On average it is expected that each state has more than 7,000 applicants who will need to review Federal and State rules, procedures and government programs available to mortgage lenders.

Use of programmed instruction takes applicants through  required updates and basic doctrine to assure their familiarity with federal and state compliance.

Beta testing was completed in third quarter 2003 and sales achieved projected goals. Program acceptance far exceeded our expectations.  Our initial thoughts were "its too easy".  Those who took the course thought it was right on target and several thought it too difficult.  On average, comments implied it took them out of their "box" and they learned more than they ever would've throught other sources.

Competition to our programmed learning is limited. Currently, Corporate brokerages and lenders must either send their covered employees to on-site or off-site classes where the only requirement is to attend 20 hours of instruction. It is certified that they attend by the individual contractors with no pass or fail requirement. Our largest competitor uses books or downloaded materials and a simple test to certify covered employees. When the student compltes the test, they fax or mail it in and a certificate is mailed back.

We offer a Virtual Library of reference materials online, bookmarked to each question.  We collect fees online, register them and gather enough information to offer credentials, and issue a certificate online immediately after completion of  training.

All this can be automated so State regulators can audit  certifications to automatically issue license renewals every two years.

Maryland office of Financial Regulation in the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation has approved the academics of our program.

THE BUSINESS

MISSION STATEMENT

To develop profession licensing recertification opportunities through an "Intranet" of one-product web sites providing access to on-line purchase of continuing education software products and downloadable informational materials tailored to each State’s requirements over the Internet.

COMPANY OBJECTIVES

After assessing the current market for marketing innovative quality products, services and specific information geared toward professionals, Professional Recertification Marketing, Inc. sees many well-defined opportunities. Professional Recertification Marketing, Inc. intends to effectively market the Company’s products and services, aiming toward fulfilling ongoing demand and establishing repeat customers. Through successful implementation of its Mission Statement, as well as Operational and Marketing Strategies, the Company plans to achieve the following objectives:

To create a favorable Company image in the marketplace and gain market share in the mortgage industry.

To sell specialty products and services to generate revenues and profits.

To grow into a profitable corporation that provides investors and employees with profit sharing opportunities.

Establish sales in several market niches through staggered product introductions using traditional and new media advertising in targeted media.

Introduce new markets, up grades and products each 30 days to sustain cash flow like subscription services.

INDUSTRY

History of the market Professional Recertification Marketing, Inc is penetrating is rather short. In 1999, several States determined to thwart predatory lending and other abuses of mortgage lending products to generate commissions rather than assist homeowners finance their properties.

Initial market's combined target audience of over 33,000 members of Maryland’s Mortgage Brokers and Lender organizations – regardless of size and number of employees.

The market will expand to a minimum of eight States having a similar requirement for their mortgage professionals. These will include Virginia, Washington, Texas, and others.

In Maryland alone, Mortgage Broker and Lender organizations range in size from one broker to more than 500 fee earners as reported (Fed Stats).

There are about a dozen individuals and contract firms offering training segments through classrooms and snail mail. It requires a great deal of coordination to assure all employees are recertified biannually using these services, but the industry is young and naive. Time of certification is slow due to scheduling, availability, and follow up on the licenses.

Speeding up the process through I-training appeals to many of the larger firms because the coordination is simply sign-on and  complete the program. Covered employees can learn at their own speed and can take up to 14 days to complete the 20-hour requirement.

Market expansion is exponential to over $1 billion when considering other professional market niches.

  • Real Estate brokers and agents
  • Health and life insurance brokers and agents
  • Casualty insurance brokers and agents
  • Plumbers, and other trades
  • Health care professionals
  • Personal care professionals, etc.
  •

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Professional Recertification Marketing, Inc.’s program  takes applicants through the material and allows them to progress to certification upon demonstration that they have read and are knowledgeable about their professional requirements, ethics and regulation updates. It allows them to complete the entire requirement through one source at their convenience and requires very little coordination for the Brokerage to recertify its covered employees. There are no delays due to "snail mail" and no hunting for reference materials because each of the areas of instruction are keyed to appropriate government regulations, documents, and agency websites.

To be completely candid, our program allows the customer (individual, broker, bank, or corporation) control over his employees’ recertification without the need for complex scheduling and accounting procedures. We accept credit cards through PayPal.com for each "applicant" prior to their taking the training, issue a receipt for the expense, and upon completion issue a certification and have the ability to forward that information to State records for accumulation prior to license renewal every two years.

INTERNET PRESENCE

Growth and use of  Internet technology as a marketing channel has been increasing at an exponential rate. It is estimated that over 320 million web sites exist and it grows by 50,000 new Internet users per day worldwide. The number of personal computers in U.S. households alone is expected to double from 20 to 40 million in the next three years. This trend has been brought on, in part, by the ever-increasing power and capacity of hardware, the rapid reduction in price for complete computer systems, and capability to access the Internet in cost-effective ways.

Professional Recertification Marketing, Inc. offeris it's 20-hour Continuing Education over its website to both educate it's users and market its services. This is on-line at http://www.e-prmi.com This site will certainly undergo design and function enhancements to make it increasingly more attractive and user-friendly. Beta testing was completed in February 2003 and two electives courses were approved in August.

Both an email program and fax program have been used each of three months to generate sales. Our courses include:

Six courses are available to loan officers meeting their needs for complete or partial requirements.  For most national mortage lending oprganizations, this offering allows them to meet the requirments and concentrate more on individual profession development at company meetings or association events.
